				We had a massive deck project which included three separate deck levels involving the east and south sides of the house.  Two existing decks were in poor and unsafe condition and had to be removed and replaced.  One of the old decks (east side) was made completely of used telephone poles which did not require the same support structure as current decking materials require.  Also, the old deck steps were constructed atop two parallel cinderblock risers roughly 6 ft. apart.  Since one of those risers doubled as a retaining wall for a basement garage driveway access, we couldn't just tear it out and start from scratch with wooden deck risers.  At the base of these steps was a rotted-out raised octagon-shaped deck that was built against a concrete retaining wall next to a creek.  Plus there is an ancient and stately weeping willow right in the center of that octagon.  Lynn did a phenomenal job engineering a new support structure while still utilizing all the cinderblock and concrete structures.  I just let him have at it and the finished project is truly a work of art.  He also replaced a rickety deck at the back of the house (south side) and added a walk-around deck to the new platform he added at the top of the steps going down to the octagon deck. He also constructed a new large lower deck behind the house with steps leading up to the top walk-around deck.  All in heart redwood except for supporting structures which are pressure-treated wood.  We are absolutely thrilled!  I highly recommend LoJo Construction.  Lynn was so easy to work with, has such a high standard for quality and attention to detail, and truly has a creative gift.
